ISLAMABAD: President Zardari has given assent to the Tax-laden Budget 2024-25 here on Sunday (30th June, 2024).

Presidential assent to the Financial Bill was given in accordance with Article 75 of the Constitution and it will be applicable from Monday (1st day of July, 2024).

Interestingly, when the Financial Bill was presented a couple of weeks ago, criticized by coalition ally PPP. Opposition PTI, terming the budget inflationary, rejected it.
