Pentagon offers condolences for the Bannu deaths

WASHINGTON: Pentagon Press Secretary Maj Gen Pat Ryder, while talking to journalists at a Presser held here on (17th July, 2024) has expressed condolences for the 8 Pakistani soldiers who lost their lives due to suicide attack at Bannu Cantt.

Maj Gen Pat Ryderand reiterated that the two countries had worked together in the past and would continue to discuss ways that they could work together. “The US and Pakistan have worked together in the past, and we continue to discuss ways that we can work together,” Pentagon Press Secretary Maj Gen Pat Ryder maintained.

It may be recalled that on Monday (15th July, 2024) morning (4.40 am) 10 terrorists attacked and tried to reach the supply depot in Cantt area here, but when LEA personnel retaliated and prevented them from entering the premises, they rammed an explosive-laden vehicle on the perimeter wall.

Due to the suicide bombing a wall collapsed claiming lives of Naib Subedar Muhammad Shehzad, 44; Havaldar Zil-e-Hussain, 39; Havaldar Shahzad Ahmed, 28; Sepoy Ashfaq Hussain Khan, 30; Sepoy Sobhan Majeed, 22; Sepoy Imtiaz Khan, 30; Sepoy Arsalan Aslam, 26, belonging to the Pakistan Army as well as Lance Naik Sabz Ali, 34, of the Frontier Constabulary.
