Women’s T20 Asia Cup, India beats Pakistan

RANGIRI DAMBULLA INTERNATIONAL STADIUM (Sri Lanka): Pakistani women cricketers, led by Nida Dar, clashed with Indians in the eight-team T20 Asia Cup that commenced here Friday (19th July, 2024).

Indians, that trashed the Green Shirts by 7 wickets, chased the 109-run target in just 14.1 overs.

Skipper Nida Dar’s équipe: Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Fatima Sana, Gull Feroza, Iram Javed, Mun­eeba Ali, Najiha Alvi, Nashra Sandhu, Omaima Sohail, Sadia Iqbal, Sidra Amin, Syeda Aroob Shah, Tasmia Rubab, Tuba Hassan.

Indian Team: Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Dayalan Hemalatha, Harmanpreet Kaur (Skipper), Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh (Wicket Keeper), Deepti Sharma, Pooja Vastrakar, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil and Renuka Thakur Singh.

It may be recalled that the green shirts had recently faced defeats against WI and UK.
