KARACHI: PTCL, that provides 70% of the internet services in Pakistan, is facing disruption all over the country on Wednesday (31st July, 2024).
NetBlocks, global internet monitor, took to the Twitter (X) to state: “Confirmed: Live network data show a nation-scale disruption to internet connectivity in Pakistan; metrics show national connectivity at 24% of ordinary levels, corroborating user reports of a widespread outage.”
PTA stated: “This is to inform to the general public that due to some fault in PTCL system, internet services in some parts of the country have suffered up to some extent. Internet/broadband users may experience degraded services during peak hors. At at the moment, the concerned teams are fixing the fault and PTA is monitoring the situation till internet/broadband services are back to normal for all users.”
Many in the Metropolis complained about non-availability of the PTCL services on Monday and Tuesday too.
