ISLAMABAD: BNP’s Akhtar Mengal, called on the JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl-ur Rehman at his residence here on Saturday (19th Oct 2024).

Claiming that two of his party’s senators and their families were in the government’s custody, Akhtar Menal have reiterated that he would not support Constitutional Amendments.

He asked why, steering clear through the public scrutiny, the Govt was in such a haste to constitutional amendments: “It is unacceptable for members of parliament and their families to be subjected to threats and intimidation”.

Akhtar Mengal made it clear that BNP would not participate in negotiations until the abducted senators and their families were released.
