TEHRAN: A gunman committed suicide after killing two Judges at the Supreme Court building here on Saturday (19th Jan 2025).

According to details the attacker attempted to assassinate three judges but succeeded in killing 68-year-old Mohammad Moghisseh and 71-year-old Ali Razini who escaped an attempt on his life (by means of a bomb explosion) in 1998.

Cynics prompted to insinuate towards the fact that America had sanctioned the slain Moghisseh in 2019 for having overseen countless unfair trails, during which charges went unsubstantiated and evidence was disregarded.

Both slain judges particularly used to hear cases apropos crimes against terrorism, national security and espionage. Since the killer was not involved in any case being heard at the Supreme Court, his motive is yet to be figured out.
