QUETTA: A remote control device was used to explode 3 kgs explosive material injuring ten (including a FC soldier) at Jan Muhammad Road here on Friday (28th Feb 2025).

The target of the attack was a FC convoy. As a result of the blast one vehicle carrying FC personnel was damaged. Injured are presently receiving treatment at Civil Hospital’s Trauma Center. Bomb attacks, particularly targeting LEA personnel, carried out by militants, after brief intervals regularly.

For instance, a suicide bomb attack by Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) at the Railway Station Booking Office here 9th Nov, 2024 claimed 27 lives (of civilians as well as personnel of LEAs). The suicide bomber detonated 10 kgs of explosive material. His remains were sent to a lab in order to figure out the identity.
