ISLAMABAD: The civil and military top brass converged here on Tuesday (18th March, 2025) to ponder over the law and order state-of-affairs in Pakistan.
Conspicuous among others, there were COAS, DG ISI, PM and CMs of four provinces. They attended the in-camera rendezvous of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security. The committee members, following the brainstorming session condemned the acts of terrorism and stressed the need for a national consensus, emphasising strategic and unified political commitment to confront the menace. The participants urged for immediate implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) and modus operandi of operation Azm-e-Istehkam in order to end their logistic support and network.

ISLAMABAD: TTAP chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai maintained that Imran Khan should also be invited to such a meeting and sans IK no meeting would have significance.

ISLAMABAD: Citing the absence of PTI Founder Imran Khan as the reason, the opposition alliance (TTAP) said it would not attend the huddle in the Parliament House attempting to figure out means to contain the leash of terrorism, particularly in the provinces of Balochistan and KP. Nevertheless Ali Amin Gandapur of PTI was there as CM of KP.
