MASTUNG: A suicide bomber blew himself up near the rally led by Balochistan national Party-Mengal (BNP-M) here on Saturday (29th March, 2025).
Akhtar Mengal took to the X to state: “A failed attempt to make our protest unsuccessful once again. Alhumdullah I’am safe with all party workers.”
In order to protest against the arrest of BYC’s Chief Organiser Dr. Mahrang Baloch and others, Akhtar Mengal wanted to lead a rally from Wadh (his native town) to Quetta but was denied permission by the concerned authorities.
Balochistan National Party-Mengal’s workers converged at Wadh by means of shanks’ mare as well as vehicles. But later, according to Mengal, 250 of the marchers were detained during an operation carried out by Police near Mastung.
