WHITE HOUSE: President Trump proclaimed at Oval Office here Tuesday (6th May, 2025) that US would stop the bombings against the Iran-backed Houthis (rebel group in Yemen) anymore as the militant outfit had informed US that they did not want to fight anymore.
Trump said that US would honor the pledge of Houthis. It may be recalled that US had been carrying out military action against Houthis since mid of March (2025) as the militant outfit had been attacking the shipping lanes (connected with Israel) in the Red Sea: “They have capitulated but more importantly, we will take their word…they say they will not be blowing up ships anymore,” maintained Trump.
