Islamabad rejects IAF claim of shooting down its planes during 7-10 May skirmish

ISLAMABAD: For the first time, since the 7-10 May Indo-Pak aerial combat, IAF Chief Amar Preet Singh, citing the electronic tracking data, claimed on Sat (9th Aug, 2025) of shooting down six PAF planes, by means of Russian-made S-400 S2S missiles.

Islamabad, that had earlier claimed shooting down 6 IAF jets, including Indian-operated France-made Rafale, using China-made jets, rejected the New Delhi statement.

Earlier, India’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan, while attempting to dismiss Pakistan’s claim apropos shooting down six IAF jets had earlier insinuated that details were less important than the tactical insights gained.
