BUNER: Two pilots and other three crew, on board KP CM’s helicopter, lost their lives when the MI 17 crashed, attempting to reach people affected by inundation caused by cloud burst here on Friday (15th August, 2025).
British Deputy High Commissioner posted at Karachi took to the X to state: “I am devastated by the significant loss of lives following further flooding across parts of Pakistan, including personnel on a Government helicopter carrying out relief work. My thoughts are with the families affected. We stand by Pakistan at this difficult time. Taking to the X Govt of KP informed that provincial government’s MI 17 helicopter, carrying aid for flood affectees, crashed due to bad weather.
Earlier, KP Govt, by means of Social Media, told that rescue helicopter, dispatched by provincial government, reached Buner.
