KARACHI: Blast in a firecracker factory/warehouse situated in a building near Taj Medical Complex on M. A. Jinnah Road here on Thursday (21st August, 2025) killed 4, wounded 34 people, twenty of whom were taken to Jinnah, while 14 were admitted at Civil’s Trauma Center.
Following the explosion, caused by a short circuit, an incendie engulfed the batiment which was contained 12 hours later by 25 KMC and Rescue 1122 fire tenders.
According to sources the explosion not only damaged the pillars and walls of the building but falling pieces of concrete also damaged parked vehicles. According to medical reports the deceased died of suffocation and crush injuries.
