Flood situation in Pakistani rivers

ISLAMABAD: According to sources Chenab River is experiencing a very high flood level of 769,481 cusecs at Marala on Wednesday (27th Aug, 2025).

Meteo warned that high flood level in Chenab at Marala measuring 769,481 cusecs could augment further. At Jassar, Ravi is experiencing a deluge of 202,200 cusecs of water that might reach 229,700 cusecs. According to details the ongoing flow of 72,900 cusecs in Ravi at Shahdara could inundate the the Motorway-two and adjacent areas. Meanwhile, a flow of 245,000 cusecs is continuing in Sutlej at Ganda Singh Wala. A flow of 100,355 has also been noted in Sutlej at Sulemanki area. Farmers, sharecroppers living along riverbanks and waterways have been advised to go to higher areas.

Sikhs’ holy shrine Gurdwara Darbar Sahib submerged, alongwith the houses and fields located here, by floodwater that Ravi failed to contain on Wed (27th August, 2025).
