Karki is the new interim PM of Nepal, polls on 5th March

KATHMANDU: Following the Gen-Z-led week long manifestations, that claimed lives of 50 protesters, inured 1300, President of Nepal Ramchandra Paudel had deemed it fit to dissolve the government, install 73-three-year former chief justice Sushila Karki as the interim PM and called for polls on 5th March.

Oli, the PM of Nepal, resigned when Police killed 20 citoyens, injured 100 protesting against rampant corruption and nepotism being carried out by those at the helm of affairs. While government failed to contain corruption and punish the culprits, youth suffering from 20% unemployment, opted to take to the streets. Despite imposition of an indefinite curfew in the capital, protesters stormed the office of the (political party) Nepali Congress, torched the parliament building, homes and offices of prominent politicians.
