UTAH: Oscar-winning US acting legend Robert Redford, known for his roles in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and the Sting, passed away Tuesday (16th September, 2025) here at the age of 89.
‘Ordinary People’, ‘A River Runs Through It’, were two of many award-winning films directed by Robert Redford. NGO Sundance Institute, founded by him to support independent film and theatre is known for its annual Sundance Film Festival. As an environmentalist he led efforts to preserve nature of Utah where he moved in 1961.
