Police stated that workers of TLP, who camped here attempting to go to the Capital in order to protest at US Embassy (there against American brokerage of Gaza issue), had been dispersed Monday. During the clash with LEAs personnel, (including para-military force called Rangers), SHO Factory Area Sheikhupura Shahzad Nawaz lost his life while three workers of TLP had been neutralised.

Thousands of TLP workers, led by Saad Hussain Rizvi, who commenced their march (to express solidarity with Palestine) from Multan Road in the Walled City after Namaz-e-Jumma on 10th Oct, resumed their march towards US Embassy in Islamabad, to voice its opposition to the US-brokered truce between Israel and Hamas, on Sunday (12th Oct) after an overnight sit-in here.

TLP workers had been instructed by their leader to converge at Faizabad Interchange (known for TLP sit-ins in the past).
Participants of the March had been instructed by TLP leadership to move towards Red Zone harboring embassies including that of USA. The authorities jammed the mobiles and made sure that the Faizabad Interchange was hermetically closed by means of shipping containers. TLP has requested the Capital administration of provide security to ‘Labbaik Al-Aqsa Million March’.

Anticipating a big rally, Islamabad-Rawalpindi administration sealed key entry points to the twin cities by means of shipping containers. Moreover, metrobus service had been suspended, mobile internet facility has been cut. TLP claimed that Police had used excessive force and resorted to firing live rounds beside lobbing tear gas shells.
