TEHRAN: Judiciary of Iran has denied reports that the govt here had planned to execute protesters on Wed (14th Jan) including 26-year-old (clothing shop worker) Erfan Soltani who was nabbed from Karaj a week ago.
Answering to a reporter’s query apropos Iran’s decision to hang dissidents, President Trump said: “... they’ve got to show humanity. They’ve got a big problem, and I hope they’re not going to be killing people… it would seem to me that they have been badly misbehaving, bu ttht is not confirmed.” Grasping at the chance, US President Donald Trump (who had threatened Tehran of dire consequences if it hanged the rioters), said: “This is good news. Hopefully, it will continue!” Hengaw Organization for Human Rights earlier claimed that Iran was all set to hang Erfan Soltani.

Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of Iran, took to the messaging App Telegram to state: ”Now that our streets have been bloodied, Israel openly and proudly says that it armed the protesters with weapons of war, and this is the reason for the hundreds of deaths. President Trump should now know where to turn to stop the bloodshed.”
ccording to Internet monitor Netblocks, authorities had imposed a total connectivity blackout on 8th January. Supreme leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that those manifesting on the streets were attempting to please Trump whose hands are soaked with Irani blood.

As Khamenei maintained that the regime would not give up, thousands of rioters, chanting slogans such as ‘death to the dictator’ are setting official batiments on fire either financed by regime-changers or genuinely angered over the inflation, rising cost of living and ever depreciating currency.
Protests have spread across Iran since 28th December, beginning in response to soaring inflation, and quickly turning political with protesters demanding an end to clerical rule. Authorities accuse the US and Israel of fomenting unrest.

Answering to Trump’s threat to Iran, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs maintained: “Those who plan to use externally inspired unrest as a pretext for repeating the aggression against Iran committed in June 2025 must be aware of the disastrous consequences of such actions for the situation in the Middle East and global international security.”

Major-General Amir Hatami, Irani Chief of Army, taking to the Social Media claimed: “We are more capable now than during 12-day war with Israel…The preparations made in the past six months after the 12-day imposed war are fully appropriate.”
