PANJGUR (Balochistan): Three militants have been neutralised during an IBO carried out here on Sunday (25th Jan, 2026).
According to details during the conduct of IBO, militants opened fire at security forces. Following an exchange of fire three terrorists were gunned down, including local commander Farooq alias Soro. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the neutralised miscreants.
It is pertinent to mention here that militants have been attacking the military as well as civil targets, particularly in the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan, incessantly for a long period of time now. Resultantly, the Pakistani LEAs too retaliate with force.
For instance, five people lost their lives, while ten others got wounded when a suicide bomber carried out an attack by detonating an IED near Qureshi Morr at the residence of Noor Alam Mehsud, peace committee chief, in Dera Ismail Khan on Friday (23rd Jan, 2026) night. According to details, due to the explosion, that occurred during a wedding celebration at Noor Alam Mehsud’s house, roof of a room (where the invitees were dancing) collapsed.
Security forces have neutralized 12 militants during three engagements in Kharan (Balochistan) on 15th January. According to details the slain militants were involved in ambushing the City Police Station. They attacked banks (National Bank of Pakistan and Habib Bank Ltd) and looted Rs. 3.4 million. Terrorists also attempted to take hostages but their endeavour was thwarted by security forces.
IBOs were carried out on 12th Jan, 2026 during which four militants were neutralised. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the hideouts of the slain militants who were involved in attacking the Security forces, members of LEAs as well as civilians.
Security forces carried out an IOB, neutralized 14 militants, and injured 20 others, in the Zehri area of Khuzdar on 4th Oct, 2025. neutralised 7 militants during a shootout that took place during an IBO carried out on 3rd October. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the possession of the slain militants of proscribed TTP. It has been calculated that 96 percent of terrorist activities are carried out in KP/Balochistan by militants who cross the porous Pak-Afghan borders.
The first IBO was carried out in Dera Ismail Khan. During the exchange of fire four militants were gunned down. The second IBO, that claimed lives of 5 Militants was conducted in Bannu. Weapons and ammunition was recovered from the killed Militants who had been carrying out acts of terrorism in the region.
