According to Faisal of Edhi Foundation the firing was carried out from inside the Consulate’s batiment and the agitators received the bullet wounds on front upper torso. It is being widely said that the marines stationed inside the Consulate shot ten dead and injured 40 people.

Ten members of Shia organisations were shot dead and forty more were injured during clashes with LEAs personnel on Sunday (1st March, 2026) when, reacting to the supreme leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s assassination a day earlier in Tehran, they attacked the US diplomatic mission situated at Mai Kolachi Road here.

American diplomatic mission in Islamabad took to the X to warn its citoyens: “We are monitoring reports of ongoing demonstrations at the US Consulates General in Karachi and Lahore, as well as calls for additional demonstrations at US Embassy Islamabad and Consulate General Peshawar.

“We advise US citizens in Pakistan to monitor local news and observe good personal security practices, including being aware of your surroundings, avoiding large crowds, and ensuring your STEP (Smart Traveller Enrolment Programme) registration is up to date.”

“Hopefully, the IRGC and Police will peacefully merge with the Iranian Patriots, and work together as a unit to bring back the Country to the Greatness it deserves. That process should soon be starting in that, not only the death of Khamenei but the Country has been, in only one day, very much destroyed and, even, obliterated.

“The heavy and pinpoint bombing, however, will continue, uninterrupted throughout the week or, as long as necessary to achieve our objective of PEACE THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST AND, INDEED, THE WORLD!”

American and Israeli forces had attacked a number of Irani cities (including Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, Karaj and Kermanshah) at 9.30 am on 28th Feb, 2026. In response Iran had closed the Strait of Hormuz and launched missiles towards Israel and US airbases in Qatar, Bahrain etc.

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, FM Iran, posted on Social Media: “The destroyed building is a primary school for girls in the south of Iran. It was bombed in broad daylight, when packed with young pupils. Dozens of innocent children have been murdered at this site alone. These crimes against the Iranian People will not go unanswered.”
