TEHRAN: President Donald Trump, commenting on the 33rd day of War (1st April, 2026) took to Truth Social to claim that: “Iran’s New Regime President, much less Radicalized and far more intelligent than his predecessors, has just asked the USA for a Ceasefire!”

He went on to write: “We will consider when Hormuz Strait is open, free, and clear. Until then, we are blasting Iran into oblivion or, as they say, back to the Stone Ages!!! President DJT.”
Tehran denies Trump’s claim: Irani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, terming Trump’s claim as False and Baseless, stated that the country had never requested ceasefire.
Shunning NATO: While talking to Reuters, the President said he was absolutely considering trying to withdraw the United States from NATO and will criticize the alliance…“They haven’t been friends when we needed them…We’ve never asked them for much … it’s a one-way street.”
Military Action In Iran: President Donald Trump, while talking to Telegraph, has insinuated that the US military action end in two to three weeks.
It may be recalled that on the 21st day of War, when Iranis were celebrating Persians New Year (Nuvroz), President Donald Trump took to the Truth Social to state: “Without the USA, NATO is a paper tiger”.
Earlier, harbouring on the subject of demanding NATO allies for providing naval support, Trump, on the way from Florida to Washington (aboard Air Force 1) told Media: “I’m demanding that these countries come in and protect their own territory because it is their territory it’s the place from which they get their energy.”
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius while rejecting American president’s demand apropos provision of vessels to escort oil-tankers, asked: “What does Donald Trump expect from a handful of European frigates in the Strait of Hormuz that the mighty US navy cannot manage alone? This is the question I find myself asking…
“There will be no military participation from Germany but Berlin is prepared to support diplomatic efforts to to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz…It is not our war. We did not start it.
“We want diplomatic solutions and a swift end, but sending more warships to the region will likely not contribute to that…Germany’s main responsibility is for the eastern flank and the Atlantic…we stay committed to that but we can’t be anywhere in the world.”
British PM while talking to journalists at a Presser on energy crisis held in London 16th March, maintained that ending the War was the quickest way to reduce cost of living. He further proclaimed that UK would not be drawn into wider War.
As for the reopening the Strait of Hormuz, he said it was not a simple task to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He further informed that he was working with allies on a viable plan. A day earlier, he had exchanged notes with the Canadian PM.
Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi, while addressing the Parliament on 16th March, maintained: “We have not made any decisions whatsoever about dispatching escort ships. We are continuing to examine what Japan can do independently and what can be done within the legal framework.”
While talking to ABC on 16th March, a member of Australian PM’s cabinet member held: “We won’t be sending a ship to the Strait of Hormuz.
“We know how incredibly important that is, but that’s not something that we’ve been asked or that we’re contributing to.” According to the Sunday (15th March) proclamation from the presidential office of S. Korea: “We will communicate closely with the US regarding this matter and make a decision after careful review.”
