TEHRAN: Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister, Islamic Republic of Iran, took to the X to inform: “In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of ceasefire, on the coordinated route as already announced by Ports and Maritime Organisation of the Islamic Rep. of Iran…”.
Donald Trump: “The strait of Hormuz is completely open and ready for business and full passage, but the naval blockade will remain in full force and effect as it pertains to Iran, only, until such time as our transaction with Iran is 100% complete. This process should go very quickly in that most of the points are already negotiated. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President Donald J. Trump.”
It may be recalled that President of USA Donald Trump took to the Truth Social on 13th April, 2026 to proclaim the commencement of Blockade of Iranian ports. He stated: “So, there you have it, the meeting went well, most points were agreed to, but the only point that really mattered NUCLEAR, was not. Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz.”
Furthermore, China warned the United States against reckless actions regarding Chinese interests in the Strait of Hormuz. Chinese vessels continued to enter and exit the waters of the Strait of Hormuz: “We have trade and energy agreements with Iran, which we will respect and uphold. We expect others to understand that interfering in China’s affairs is futile.”
According to Trump: “Iran’s Navy is laying at the bottom of the sea, completely obliterated – 158 ships. What we have not hit are their small number of, what they call, “fast attack ships,” because we did not consider them much of a threat. Warning: If any of these ships come anywhere close to our BLOCKADE, they will be immediately ELIMINATED, using the same system of kill that we use against the drug dealers on boats at Sea.
