TEHRAN: On the 90th day of War, porte parole of the ministry of foreign affairs of Iran said that Washington had been given a new fourteen-point proposal by Tehran via Islamabad and thus talks with US were ongoing.
A day earlier, President Trump took to the Truth Social to warn Iran, stating that clock was ticking for them to get moving before there won’t be anything left of them. He maintained that time was the essence.
On 16th May, 2026, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi noted that US debt and mortgage rates would jump if Washington resumed its war of choice. Iran warned that US would face growing economic consequences that would have otherwise been avoidable.
