BEIJING: With a gun salute and guard of honour President Xi Jinping welcomed President Vladimir Putin here on Wed (20th May, 2026).
While addressing Xi Jinping, Putin said: “Even against the backdrop of unfavourable external factors, our interaction and economic cooperation demonstrate strong momentum…The comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction between Russia and China in the new era is a model for intergovernmental relations in the modern world.”
