Rise above despair: there is joy at the end of the road!

AIMAN INAM

KARACHI: Before taking any decision, particularly when we are in stress, we go through mind-wandering.

There is someone inside us who keeps on telling ‘yes’, ‘no’ and gives a lots of suggestions, making us frustrated and confused.

This is how our mind works, going continually backward and forward, daily.

Researches demonstrate that humans have over 50,000 thoughts per day. But do such never-ending thoughts have influence on us?

Our emotional status, moods, ways of being and acting are connected with our thoughts. Such continuous thoughts have a straight and influential effect on our feelings.

Your pessimistic thoughts (“I cannot do that”, “something is wrong”or “it is impossible”) could potentially trigger negative emotions such as outrage, aggravation, hatred and despair etc.

Such feelings are the possible hurdles in your ways to achieve any goal and objective.

It just stresses you out by messing with your fervor and passion.

Life is a difficult challenge and in this cruel world only the one survives who could take such challenges.  Do not let your mind wander: Rise above and get over despair rather than being upset and depressed.

Just focus on your goals, have faith in yourself; you are gonna get there sooner or later as there is joy at the end of the road!
