Sarfraz remains captain as PCB announces T20 squad against World XI

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced its 16-member squad against the World XI team visiting the country to play three T20 matches here.

The matches will be held in the Lahore’s Qaddafi Stadium from Sept 12 to 15.

The Pakistani side which will play the series includes Sarfraz Ahmed (captain), Fakhar Zaman, Ahmed Shehzad, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Umar Ameen, Amad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Muhammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Hassan Ali, Amir Yameen, Muhammad Amir, Roman Raees, Usman Shinwari and Sohail Khan.

The World XI includes five players from South Africa, three from Australia, two from the Windies, and one each from Bangladesh, England, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

The World XI squad includes Captain Faf du Plessis (South Africa), Hashim Amla (South Africa), Samuel Badree (Windies), George Bailey (Australia), Paul Collingwood (England), Ben Cutting (Australia), Grant Elliott (New Zealand), Tamim Iqbal (Bangladesh), David Miller (South Africa), Morne Morkel (South Africa), wicketkeeper Tim Paine (Australia), Thisara Perera (Sri Lanka), Imran Tahir (South Africa) and Darren Sammy (Windies).
