KARACHI: Second spell of rain accompanied with thunderstorms are likely to hit Karachi from Wednesday (30th August 2017) and continue till the first day of Eid on Saturday (2nd September 2017), Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said.
According to the PMD forecast, the weather would remain to be cloudy and humid however will be followed by heavy thunderstorms and rains in the afternoon that will continue for three more days including on Eid-ul-Azha.
“The temperature is expected to drop by 27°C to 28°C by night in the upcoming days,” PMD said.
Moreover, the Met also fears flash flooding while ruling out the threat of a hurricane.
Upper Punjab, KP, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan should most likely expect three to four spells of rainfall with isolated extreme events. However, Sindh and Balochistan are likely to get one or two spells of light to the moderate intensity of rainfall and thunderstorms.
