Achieving financial targets only possible with due respect of labourers: Dar

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar on Wednesday said labourers and workers play a key role in strengthening national economy and development of country.

He said set financial targets could not be achieved without empowerment and due respect of the workers.

In an interview, Usman Dar said Labour day was an opportunity to acknowledge contributions of working men and women who were indispensable pillar of the country.

“Today we pay tribute to the labour community for its valuable contribution in nation building”, he added.

He said the incumbent government of Imran Khan was pursuing labour friendly policies for the welfare of the labour class in the country.

“Our belief in the dignity of labour is stronger than ever and we are cognisant that only a prosperous and happy workforce can enable Pakistan in realizing its full potential and compete in today’s highly competitive globalized market economy,” he said.

He emphasized that through cooperation and support of all stakeholders, they could achieve a better standard of living for the working class and ensure environment of equal opportunity and rights for all.
