Any addition to volume 10 of JIT report not acceptable: Info minister

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that any addition to the JIT report by the team will not be accepted as it has been submitted to the court in final shape on July 10.

In a statement, she expressed serious concern over reports that JIT is still active, despite submitting its final report in the Supreme Court.

“Supreme Court had allowed the JIT to close its office within 7 days, but instead of closure of office, all JIT members and their assisting staff are still working and none of the JIT members had reported back to their respective departments as yet,” the minister claimed.

She suggested that the investigation team should have formally sought more time from the court if it could not complete its probe.
