Adversaries will be surprised with bold response: DG ISPR

ISLAMABAD: DG ISPR, Major General Babar Iftikhar has stated that 27th February commemorated the resolve of Pakistan Armed Forces against any aggression.

He took to the Twitter he state that the way Pakistan had responded on 27th of February, 2020 was a proof that any misadventure by enemies would always be defeated. The DG ISPR reiterated that Pakistan’s adversaries would be surprised with  bold responses every time. It is pertinent to mention here that Surprise Day is being observed today to commemorate retaliatory attack by Pakistan Air Force after India’s botched Balakot airstrike on 26th of February, 2019.  PAF carried out Operation Swift Retort and shot down two Indian Air Force fighter jets. Indian pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, was captured after his Mig-21 was shot down. He was later handed over to Indian authorities as a goodwill gesture.

Pakistan Armed Forces displayed full combat readiness and acted with a high degree of inter-service harmony manifesting that aggression towards motherland would not be tolerated and the armed forces are ever ready and fully capable to foil any kind of aggression. Chief of Pakistan Air Force Mujahid Anwar Khan addressing the audience at an event stated that Pakistan Air Force along with other services was fully prepared to counter any threat to the country. He said that Pakistan would not make any compromise on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan.

 

Air Show at Karachi Beach: 

Pakistan Air Force staged an impressive air show at Sea View here. The Air Show included special fly pasts and formations by F-16, Mirage and JF-17 Thunder jets. PAF helicopters also presented a fly past to pay tribute to the armed forces. The show also included aerobatic performance by Sherdil Squad of Air Force.
