Afghanistan providing safe havens to banned outfits: Rangers

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers spokesman has said that banned outfits were operating from Afghanistan and Kabul was providing safe havens to the terrorists planning attacks in Pakistan.

Addressing the media here on Wednesday, Colonel Qaiser said that two target killers involved in Orangi Town incident were arrested from Karachi.

The shooters, affiliated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) London, received directions by MQM founder and Nadeem Nusrat through voice messages on Whatsapp from South Africa,” he said.

“MQM founder congratulated the shooters on carrying out the gun attack,” he added.

The spokesperson further went on to add that the law and order situation in Karachi has improved and the time when the metropolis, “which used to get shut down on a phone call” has passed.
