AFK-Franco-Swiss diplomatic posts observe French-Speakers’ day

KARACHI: Consulate Generals of Switzerland and France joined hands to celebrate the French-Speakers’ day in collaboration with Alliance Française here (AFK).

Consul General of Switzerland Philippe Crevoisier and the Consul General of France François Dall’Orso, while speaking on the occasion highlighted the importance of French language and its significance for French speakers globally and in the two countries.

Following their address, Swiss film in French La Femme et le TGV (the Railroad Lady), was screened with English subtitles.

Director AFK Jean-François Chénin thanked the large congregation of francophile Diplomats, businessmen, representatives of media and students of French Language who converged at AFK to attend the event. 

Every year in March, International Francophonie Day is celebrated by 200 million French speakers living in 77 countries of the world.
