All out efforts had been made to ensure security in Sindh: CM

SEHWAN: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said maintaining law and order in the province was the top priority of the provincial government.
He said all out efforts had been made to ensure security during Eid-ul-Azha. The chief minister expressed these remarks while talking to media persons after offering fateha and lying floral wreaths at the Mazar of Hazrat Usman Marvandi Lal Shahbaz Qalandar here on Tuesday evening.
After assuming the office of Sindh Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah said he first got briefing from law enforcement agencies regarding law and order situation in the province while the same point was also on the top of the agenda of cabinet meeting.
The people of Sindh were peace loving and the untoward incidents which occurred in the province including suicidal blast inside the Mazar of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar some two years back were carried out by outsiders, he said and added that the provincial PPP government always put the issue of law and order on top therefore the protection of life and property of common man would be ensured at any cost.
Responding to another question regarding shortage of water in Sindh, the Chief Minister said it was because of the late arrival of water in the river. Since last few months, the province was facing the crisis of water shortage more from other provinces due to formation of new formula of water distribution, he said and added that he raised objection on the said formula in the last meeting of the Council of Common Interest during the regime of previous federal government and now he will again discuss the matter with the federation shortly.
Replying to another question, the chief minister assured that the provincial government was ready to extend cooperation with the federal government for supremacy of law and order in Sindh.
