LOS ANGELES: Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro has expressed his wish to work alongside famed Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio and said that for him, it would be an honour to work with the The Revenant star.
“Leo is a brilliant and very talented actor. I wish I could act alongside him,” De Niro said in an interview.
Niro, who collaborated with Martin Scorsese on classics like “GoodFellas”, “Taxi Driver” and “Raging Bull”, says The Wolf of the Wallstreet star has a similar kind of bond with Scorsese, having worked with him on five movies.
“Leo loves Marty the way I do, so it’s great. I’d love for the three of us to do something,” he said.
The Stardust actor also revealed that Scorsese asked him to appear in DiCaprio-starrers “Gangs of New York” and “The Departed” but his scheduling issues got in the way.
The 73-year-old star is set to reunite with Scorsese, Heat co-star Al Pacino and GoodFellas and Casino co-star Joe Pesci on the film The Irishman.
The film will hit theatres in 2018.
