American Defense Secretary and NATO Chief arrives in Kabul unannounced

KABUL: Jim Mattis US Defense Secretary and Jens Stoltenberg NATO Chief arrived here today.

Mattis is the first member of Trump’s cabinet to visit the country since the White House’s proclamation apropos sending more troops and keeping American boots in Afghanistan.

It is pertinent to mention here though Afghan war – that started almost sixteen years ago – is the longest in American history, most of the observers reckon the situation in Afghanistan as stalemate.
