Anees Ibrahim to run Dawood’s D-Company

KARACHI: Underground don Dawood Ibrahim, who is celebrating his 60th birthday Saturday December 26, is expected to announce his brother Anees Ahmed as his successor on the very day.

It is believed that due to his failing health Bhai is not fit to run D-Company – the $10 billion multinational empire dealing in arms, drugs, gambling and hawala.

Presently, 1993 Mumbai blasts accused,  Anees virtually controls the D-company’s illicit affairs. Chota Shakeel, who micro-manages the company, will not attempt to grab the top slot. He will be content to continue working as the new Don’s second-in-command.

Bhai’s brother Noor-ul-Haq aka Noora died while another Iqbal Kaksar was deported from Dubai. Besides Anees,  Bhai’s two other siblings – Humayun and Mustaqeem – also live with him, though not much involved in the family ‘business’.

Before the Axact’s fake degree-selling operations was exposed by The New York Times, pet buzz here was that Dawood Ibrahim was financing BOL – the so-called ‘biggest media house’ in the world.

In 2006 Pakistanis were amazed when cricketer Javed Miandad’s son Junaid got married to Don’s daughter Mahrukh Ibrahim.

Many friends of this reporter have confirmed meeting Dawood Ibrahim here in the Metropolis. They claimed of even offering namaz (tarawhee) during Ramadan with the Don.

Don’s successor Anees too was shot at in Karachi as he was coming out of an ATM.

Yet nobody is willing to acknowledge any social contact with ‘the World’s top 11th most dreaded criminal!’ State of Pakistan too has been vehemently denying presence of any of the Mumbai bombings accused in Karachi.

Sources informed NewsPakistan.tv that the Don was planning a gala dinner on the occasion.

Invitation cards have already been dispatched to some six hundred guests who are still unaware of the venue.

Dubai probably would be the scene of this grand birthday bash where members of the royal family are also expected.
