Another witness testified in money laundering reference against Asif Zardari

ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court (AC) on Friday testified one more witness in mega money laundering reference against former president Asif Ali Zardari and adjourned hearing till 6th January.
AC-II Judge Muhammad Azam Khan conducted hearing on graft reference filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The court also granted one day’s exemption from hearing to former president Asif Ali Zardari, his sister Faryal Talpur and Omni Group’s Khawaja Abdul Ghani Majeed.
During the course of proceeding, the court recorded the statement of NAB witness Christopher D. Cruz, an operation manager of a local bank.
After this, the court summoned the three witnesses including Muhammad Naeem, Ahsan Aslam and Christoper Cruz on next hearing for cross-examination by the defence lawyers. The hearing of the case was adjourned till 6th January.
