Anti-polio campaign completes successfully in Punjab

MULTAN: The anti-polio campaign, which continued from March 25 to 29, has been completed successfully in several districts of Punjab including Multan.

The target of immunization was 435,991 kids while teams covered 453,687 children. The district administration and district health management teams jointly raided various houses where parents had refused to get their kids vaccinated during the drive.

Deputy Commissioner Mudassir Riaz Malik said that strict action would be taken against such parents in future also.

Chief Executive Officer District Health Authority Dr Munawar Abbas expressed satisfaction over anti-polio drive and thanked all departments and parents who cooperated during the campaign, said a press release here.
