ISLAMABAD: Khawaja Anwar Majeed’s wife Nazli Majeed Wednesday filed a petition in Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking removal of her name from the Exit Control List (ECL) in mega money laundering and fake accounts case.

The applicant has made the federal government, interior ministry and the interior secretary as the respondents.

The applicant contended before the court that her name was put on ECL as she was a housewife and did not have any concerns with the business of her husband and children.

She urged that preventing travel was a violation of basic human rights and prayed for removal of her name from the ECL.
