Around 5000 doctors to serve in remote areas of KP: minister

PESHAWAR: Minister for Information, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shaukat Yousafzai has said around five thousand specialist doctors would serve in remote areas of the province with an attractive salary package.

“Patients in remote areas will now be able to access professional health care at their door step as the incumbent government is committed to ensuring access to health care and has allocated a significant budget for the health sector”, he said during an interview

The KPK government has planned to provide modern equipment to the district headquarters hospitals, he said adding, “We want patients in remote areas to get every facility that is available in big cities”.

As per the vision of the prime minister Imran Khan , health sector was being given top priority and work had been expedited to bring improvement in it, he added.
