KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court on Saturday rejected a bail plea of former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain in a case about allegedly providing medical treatment to militants in his private hospital.
According to details, the ATC issued the verdict after hearing arguments from defence and prosecution sides.
Earlier, former president and co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party Asif Ali Zardari said that Dr Asim is not involved in corruption and the authorities are harassing him.
The PPP leader further said that Dr Asim was being harassed for months. Zardari also accused the government of repeatedly violating the 18th amendment to the Constitution.
