AIMAN INAM

MUMBAI: Bollywood playback singer Arijit Singh has been swapped by Atif Aslam for a promotional track in the upcoming venture of Ekta Kapoor A Flying Jatt.

Previously too, Salman Khan refused to lip-syncing on the song of Arijit. Due to which Pakistani renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had lent his voice to Sultan.

It has been reported that Arijit was supposed to croon a background song in the flick, which also features Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez.

In this context, a statement reads: “Sachin-Jigar, who has scored the music for A Flying Jatt, had initially roped in Arijit for a background song. However, the makers felt that his voice did not do justice to it, and requested for a replacement.”

Sources further added: “The makers liked Atif’s version and have given a thumbs-up to them. The singer has been paid close to Rs 35 lakh for the song, which will be unveiled a fortnight later. He has also sung a promotional track in the film; that will be out tomorrow.”
