Awareness campaign about women’s right to inheritance launched!

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Human Rights has launched an awareness campaign to educate people about the rights of women to inheritance under Islamic jurisprudence and the Constitution.
Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen M Mazari today announced that Ministry of Human Rights through this awareness campaign aimed to educate people about the religious and legal protection provided to women right to inheritance in Pakistan said a press release issued here.
She said the protection of the women’s right to inheritance has been one of the priorities of incumbent government for equality and justice in Pakistan.
Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari said Islam and Constitution of Pakistan guaranteed the women’s inheritance rights and offered clear guidance in this regard.
Moreover, “a helpline: 1099 has also been launched by the Human Rights Ministry to provide free legal advice in this regard”, she added.
