TEHRAN: Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, has pardoned tens of thousands of prisoners including a number of those who were nabbed during recent hijab-related agitation.
The Supreme Leader made it clear that those spying for foreign agencies or those who are associated with anti-Iran groups would not be released.
Incarcerated dual nationals and some of those taken into custody in recent agitation (four of whom were hanged) too will remain behind bars.
