Azerbaijan takes delivery of 1st Pakistan-made JF-17

BAKU (Heydar Aliyev Int’l Airport): Pakistan, after delivering it to Myanmar and Nigeria, has delivered first of the ordered Joint-fighter (JF)-17C Thunder Block III multi-role fighter to Azerbaijan here on Wednesday (25th September, 2024).

It is pertinent to mention here that a JF-17C Block III fighter was displayed at Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition (ADEX) 2024 (with PAF markings) held in Heydar Aliyev International Airport here.

On 25th September, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inspected the jet on static display before witnessing an aerial demonstration.

Azerbaijan has inked a $1.6 billion deal with Pakistan to acquire an unspecified number of JF-17C Block III fighter jets.
