Pakistan’s former cricketer Muhammad Yousuf is all praise for T20I skipper Babar Azam and says that he’s the best player in the country.
Yousuf says he believes that the young prolific player in the green shirts squad will soon make it to the mark of being the best cricketer in the world.
“Common thing in him [Babar Azam] and Virat Kohli is that they both are most dedicated players. They both help their respective teams in sealing victories. Babar needs a little more improvement in longer formats of cricket to surpass the Indian cricketer as the best in the world,” said the 45-year-old.
“He [Babar] is at number three in ODIs and number one in T20Is. All I want to advise him is that he should be more focused on improving in the longer format of cricket. He should follow major players such as Kohli, Smith, Williamson and Root to learn about their skills,” Yousuf, who played his last T20I in September 2010, added.
