WASHINGTON: American Friends of Balochistan (AFB) group’s founder & Baloch activist Mustikhan has said yesterday (17th of April) that he had heckled deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif during his 2015 visit here at KGB behest.
Emboldened by the decision of a district court in Maryland that refused to silence him, Mustikhan (who happens to be a journalist too) posted three pieces on Facebook yesterday (17th of April).
In these statements, he claimed that he was “let down” by RAW operatives working from the Indian Embassy in Washington. He identified one of them as Nagesh Bhushan who (according to him) manned RAW’s Balochistan Desk.
It is pertinent to mention here that two Indian supporters of AFB had filed an appeal asking the judge to stop Mustikhan from sharing group’s in-house secrets. However, the court held that US constitution guaranteed Mustikhan freedom of expression.
On Oct 22, 2015, Mustikhan, had heckled Nawaz Sharif on (22nd of October, 2015) during his speech at the US Institute for Peace here and was removed by security personnel as he continued shouting for several minutes.
Baloch activist Mustikhan also heckled other Pakistani leaders including former president Pervez Musharraf. Saying that he had no fight with Sharif (as he is an elected prime minister) and he did that with a heavy heart. However, he added that he had heckled others willingly.
Mustikhan maintained in his statements that India was supporting terrorism in Pakistan that started after the Kargil war and that’s why the current insurgency had continued for 12 years. According to him RAW encouraged militants to kill Punjabi, Pakhtun and even Sindhi civilians.
