Baloch leader Sardar Ataullah Mengal passes away at 93

KARACHI: Baloch leader, Sardar Ataullah Mengal, known for founding the Balochistan National Party (BNP) expired in a private medical facility here today (Thursday 2nd of Sept) at the age of 93.Born in

Born in Lasbela in 1929, he later shifted to the Karachi. In 1954 he was made the Sardar of the Mengal Tribe. According to sources Mir Ghaus Baksh Bizenjo introduced him to the terrain of politics.

In 1962, Bedizen ran his election campaign and as a result Mengal was elected to the West Pakistan provincial assembly.
