Baluchistan Govt. imposes 3-month ban on Gwadar land transfer!

M. M. ALAM

QUETTA: Revenue Dept. of the Govt. of Baluchistan has issued a notification according to which a ban has been imposed on transfer of land in Gwadar.

Commenting on the issue DC Gwadar elaborated that the ban was meant for all sorts of lands as Gwadar Master Plan is being re-planned keeping the foreign firms’ Mega City and Smart City projects in view.

It is pertinent to mention here that last July Gwadar Development Authority has signed a MoU with a foreign firm in this respect.

Since cynics have repeatedly questioned the transparency in the process of Gwadar land allotment, a ban was imposed earlier. But that too was lifted in the month July 2016.
