Baosteel of China to supply steel to K-2 and K-3 power plants in Karachi

SANA MAHMOOD

KARACHI: State-owned Baosteel, which is listed in Shanghai, has won the bid for supplying steel to Power Plants  (K2 and K3, that broke ground in 2015) here.

It is pertinent to mention here that the announcement came at the time when a number of companies objected to import of steel from China.

Name of the steel products have not been specified.

Last February the National Tariff Commission of Pakistan had imposed anti-dumping duties on galvanized steel coils exports for five years.
